Magizhampoo puttu:

This name magizhampoo because of its colour and texture of the flower Magizhampoo,It looks pale yellow in colour and tiny in size.This moong dal puttu is very healthy and nutritive dish. This popular dish is know to be origin of Chettinad.

Ingredients:
Pasipparuppu (moong dal)- 1cup
Raw rice-1tbs
Grated coconut-1/2 cup
Jaggery 1/4 cup or as per your taste
Sugar 1/4 tsp to sprinkle on top
Cardamom powder 2 pinch
Cashew -4nos
Dry grapes few
Ghee 1tbs
Method to prepare:
!.Soak moong dal and rice together for an hour coarse grind to paste.
2.Place it on idli plate and steam boil it for 10 minutes.

3.Heat ghee golden fry cashew and dry grapes keep aside.
4.Melt jaggery in 4 tbs of water and bring it to boil when the jaggery is completely dissolved filter it through strainer to get pure syrup.

5.Crumble cooked dal when it is warm ,If you feel it little hardjob you can do it in mixer for a second.
6.. In a bowl mix crumbled dal ,jaggery, cardamom powder, fried cashew and grapes mix well altogether.
7.Finally serve it by sprinkling sugar on the top.
