Keerai koottu/Greens koottu:
We know that greens have tremendous health benefits, which help us in all aspects to improve our health care.Doctors too suggest to include any type of greens everyday in our meals.
This koottu variety is better than all another method of cooking because it is close cooked in little water not sauteed.Any variety of Greens can be used to make this koottu,I have used Brahmi/Vallarai in this koottu.Mild spices added and good combination with Puli Kuzhambu or Kara Kuzhambu.This is simply awesome with the aroma of Garlic and ghee, can serve with plain cooked rice.

Ingredients:
Keerai/Greens of any variety -1 bunch
Moong dal-2 tbsp
Onion-1
Green chilli-2 nos
Garlic-2 pods
To Temper:
Ghee or oil-2 tsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Urad dal-1/2 tsp
Method to cook:
Wash and cut greens,Chop Onion.
Pressure cook Moong dal for a whistle.
When steam releases add Greens,Onion and green chilli to it, cook for one more whistle or close lid and cook for 5 minutes in low flame.
Open it, add salt and mix well,now temper with the above-mentioned ingredients ,add crushed garlic to it.
Ready to serve with cooked rice and kara Kuzhambu.
