Paneer Peas Kurma:

We use to have paneer peas masala as a combination with our favorite breakfast items or vegetable kurma to serve, now we have this aromatic paneer peas kurma wonderful combination with most of the main dishes which drags the attention of your family members to meet at the dining table. Finger licking taste of this Kurma can be served with the most desired Chappathi, Naan, Idiyappam, Puri, Appam, and more … make it rich and delicious to serve and enjoy. Always we believe the truth that homemade recipes can never be compared with outside food in all manner, health, hygiene quality, and quantity. The only thing is we should spare some time and involvement to try this recipe and feel the specialty.

Ingredients: (Serves 4 person)

Green peas-1/2 cup

Paneer-7 to 9 cubes

Carrot-1 small (cube cut)

Beans-5 to 7 nos (long cut)

Onion-1

Tomato-1

Ginger, garlic paste-2 tsp (if you don”t have the paste it can be added to grind along with to grind ingredients)

Coriander leaves -chopped

Smooth curd-2 tbsp

Salt-1 tsp

Garam masala powder- 1/4 tsp

To grind: (slightly roast the below ingredients for enhanced aroma)

Green chilies-3 to 5 nos

Fennel seeds-1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds1/2 tsp

Pepper corns-1/4 tsp,

Coconut-4 tbsp fresh grated

Cashew-3 nos OR

Fried channa-1 tsp (Poritha kadalai paruppu)

Almond–4 nos

Season it with:

Oil-2 tbsp

Bay leaves, Cinnamon 1/2 inch, cloves-2, Cardamom-1, Pepper corns and Fennel seeds-1/4 tsp

Method:

Clean and cut vegetables mentioned above, grind the “To grind ingredients” to a smooth paste, keep other things ready to prepare the creamy kurma.

Now, heat the pan with a tablespoon of oil or ghee. Add “To season” ingredients then chopped onion saute till golden yellow, add cut vegetables and tomato saute for a minute or 2 gradually add garam masala, salt, and water close and cook till the vegetables get cooked soft.

Add smooth grind masala to the cooking vegetables add 2 cups of water let it boil for few more minutes the kurma gets thicken now add the curd and paneer let it stay on a medium flame for 2 more minutes, now you can feel the real appetizing aroma to taste.

Finally add the chopped coriander leaves and serve garnish with golden fried Cashews if preferred.
